Youth of the Year
BGCA's Youth of the Year recognition program is the cornerstone of BGCA’s Character and Leadership Development core program area. It promotes and celebrates young people’s service to the Club, community and family; academic performance; moral character; life goals; poise and public speaking abilities. An outstanding youth is selected each year to represent the Club. Winners go on to participate in state, regional, and national competition.

Join me in congratulating our BGCA Connecticut State Military Youth of the Year, AJ. On May 12, AJ competed at the state level and received a standing ovation after giving his speech on how the SUBASE Youth Center BGCA Club has positively impacted his life and truly made a difference in his future, earning a $2,500 scholarship!
